Ready Mix Concrete and Admixtures

At CBM, we understand that the strength of every project depends on the perfect mix from the start. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, we act as your partner to ensure your project’s success through technical expertise and a reliable schedule.

By leveraging our advanced ready mix concrete and admixtures, we provide tailored solutions that balance heavy-duty performance with lower carbon footprint solutions, helping you meet even the most complex engineering specs.

Customizing Your Mix for Performance & Sustainability

Our strategy is built on a foundation of sustainable growth and continuous competitiveness. We understand that every build is unique, which is why we co-create the mix that fits your specific vision, whether you’re meeting LEED standards or specialized structural requirements. This transformation journey is fully aligned with our mandate to position CBM as a leader in building materials and sustainable solutions.

Standard Mixes

For many applications, a well-designed standard mix is exactly what the job calls for. Our standard ready-mix concrete is batched to specification, quality-checked at the plant, and supported by dispatch teams who take scheduling seriously.

Consistent quality and dependable delivery are not extras. They are what every customer should expect, and what our teams work to deliver on every order.

EkoCrete

EkoCrete is our performance concrete for projects where mix efficiency and responsible material use are part of the conversation from the start. It incorporates supplementary cementing materials where appropriate, and is developed through verified mix design practices that hold up under real project conditions.

If EkoCrete fits your project scope, our technical team can take you through the mix parameters, placement considerations, and supporting documentation your specifications may require.

Custom Mixes

When a project has demands that fall outside standard parameters, mix development becomes a real technical collaboration. Self-consolidating placements, extended workability for long pump lines, high-strength vertical pours, tight stripping schedules – our team has worked through all of these across some of the most technically demanding builds Ontario has seen in the past decade.

Fibres

Fibre reinforcement addresses a specific set of project challenges – shrinkage cracking, slab toughness, and rebar replacement where design allows. For ready mix concrete and admixtures applications involving industrial floors, tunnel liners, or slabs on grade, our FiberMax ConcreteSolution is worth considering, where fibre addition delivers a measurable structural benefit.

Speak with your local sales representative about whether FiberMax is the right fit for your application and what dosage makes sense for the job.

Ready Mix Concrete and Admixtures Projects With a Big Impact

Some of the projects we have supplied ready mix concrete and admixtures for have been among the most technically demanding in the region. These are a few of them.

Gordie Howe International Bridge – Windsor, Ontario
Over 100,000 m³ supplied between 2019 and 2025. Concrete engineered for a 125-year service life across underwater pours, mass pours, high-strength tower placements, and on-site road deck construction. Close collaboration across quality control, operations, and sales was key to consistent delivery over a six-year partnership.

Eglinton Crosstown LRT – Toronto, Ontario
More than 300,000 m³ supplied across multiple years and four stations. Mix development was critical for a formed tunnel roof and wall liner pours involving long pumping distances, limited access, accelerated strength targets, heat management, and, in some applications, macro fibres in place of conventional rebar.

141 Bay Street – Toronto, Ontario
Approximately 70,000 m³ was supplied from 2021 through 2025. The project’s 57-storey elevator core demanded high ultimate strength, accelerated stripping strength, controlled temperature gradients, self-consolidating placement, and Modulus of Elasticity compliance. Close technical collaboration with EllisDon was central to meeting those requirements throughout the build.

Waaban Crossing – Kingston, Ontario
Approximately 13,000 m³ supplied from spring 2020 through fall 2022. Scope included caissons, bridge deck, curbs, and sidewalks in an environmentally sensitive, high-traffic corridor. The project received multiple 2023 infrastructure and engineering awards, and the client relationship continued into future work.

The CBM Advantage

With almost 100 years of experience working in Ontario and Quebec, CBM combines proven local knowledge together with the strength of our global leader, Votorantim Cimentos. That means every load we deliver is supported by global production standards, consistent quality, and a commitment to doing the job right across every plant, every region, and every project.
